Naomi grew up, and still lives in country South Australia. She is the middle child, with an older brother Jared and younger sister Catherine. Her father Grant is a brilliant piano player and it was somewhat inevitable that Naomi would take 5 years of piano lessons as a child. In primary school she spent a year learning the flute, before becoming a self taught guitarist in her late teens and early 20’s. She first lead worship in her local church when she was just 8 years old as part of a children’s service and has been part of church music ministry for over 20 years.
Naomi notes her key musical influences and role models as Steve Grace, Third Day, Evanescence, David Crowder, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman and Israel Houghton.
Naomi initially had plans of becoming a farmer, but after completing high school, Naomi completed her Bachelor of Social Work and works as a Senior Clinician providing counselling, advocacy and personal support to families. She also teaches voice, guitar and piano lessons.
Over the years, Naomi has been involved in, and lead, numerous missions trips through countries like Poland, Uganda, and the Philippines. She is keen to continue travelling and is always on the look out for great projects to become involved with.
Naomi is an avid song writer and is hoping to release an album of love ballads in the near future, with her 2nd worship album is also underway. Songs take a little longer these days as she balances music and motherhood!
